What a week it was last week.Three days of intense rehearsals and snowstorms that prevented us from starting on time each morning. We prevailed though Everyone sure worked hard learning the tunes and Brian did a great job finding and programming drums and sound fx etc. Rob really did his part learning songs that he'd NEVER heard before! I'm very proud of everyone. The dedication to SAGA music from these men is amazing.

Even more amazing was the show on Saturday night in Toronto. It was the first show of the year and we hadn't played in over  3 months in Caracas and we learned almost a complete new set of songs which included most of Heads or Tales [we ran out of rehearsal time to learn 2 tracks but will be included in Europe]. Sure there were some opening night jitters and some technical problems but we overcame them and in my opinion gave one of the most exciting performances ever in Canada and a lot had to do with the audience. It was PACKED! They were hyped they were excited almost as if they were watching Canada and the U.S.A. playing hockey!! The audience have really warmed up to Rob and gave him great applause and made him feel welcome. One of my fav moments was when we played Corkentellis a complex piece that I really enjoy and the crowd went nuts over it!! Who would have thought that?!! We are really lucky to have such fans and I'm really looking forward to bringing this show to Europe now. Thanks for all your years of friendship and loyalty and  I will see you on tour!!!

I would love to thank SAGA fans all over the world  who supported us during this fast and exciting year! Human Condition was amazingly well received and it is  very heart-warming. We played to great audiences this year and went places we have never been to or haven't been in a long time!

As you probably now know we will do a spring tour to hit  mostly the towns that we missed last tour but with ALOT of new surprises you can bet! In the meantime I have been creating new material and still working on that instrumental project with Glen Drover and also have been working on a symphonic piece that I would love to be performed by a real orchestra some time.

Right now it's time for us all to take time with families and friends. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a great New Year. See you soon!!

Well the trip was AMAZING!On the way in we saw a mother moose and her two calfs .She watched as we paddled by on our way to North Depot lake which is one lake north of Radiant lake.Camped on an island on N.D. for 5 days and had a very cool time with great weather but lots of bugs ...still suffering from bites!Didn't want to come out.I walked the canoe thru the rapids instead of portaging out of N.D.Now it's time to readjust to civilization and start writing again for the next SAGA cd which is going well with Rob contributing some GREAT vocals!Very exciting. Will keep you posted.Bye for now and cya all soon!!  J>G>

Welcome to my web site.

This year looks to be an exciting one. Plans include: recording my third solo album, finding a new lead singer for SAGA, and the release of the bands 30th anniversary concert DVD. Another wilderness camping trip is also in the works. This time I’ll remember to take the tent.
